Two PhD fellowships in the Department of Cell Biology

PhD fellowships to study molecular and cellular mechanisms of pro-regenerative potential of stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) in ischemic myocardial injuries. The application deadline is 23 August 2020.

Project title: Molecular and cellular mechanisms of pro-regenerative potential of stem cell- derived extracellular vesicles (EVs) in ischemic myocardial injuries: Role of microRNAs
Institution: Department of Cell Biology, Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology, Jagiellonian University, Krakow.
Application deadline: 23 August 2020

The research undertaken under the supervision of professor Ewa Zuba-Surma in a frame of the MAESTRO 11 grant will focus on the role of selected miRNAs carried by EVs from genetically modified iPSCs and MSCs, in various types of cardiac tissue cells both in vitro and in vivo, including examining regenerative properties of these EVs in acute and chronic myocardial injury models.
