Applications are invited for adjunct faculty in the Department of Microbiology to work within the research group.
Requirements:
- fulfilling requirements stated in Article 113, 116 (2) (3) of the Act of 20th July 2018 Law on higher education and science, as well as in § 163 of the Statute of the Jagiellonian University
- at least the academic degree of doctor,
- high grades for his/her doctoral or habilitation thesis,
- relevant academic achievements,
- active participation in academic life (presentations at conferences and symposiums),
- positive opinion of the head of department/chair or academic tutor on candidate’s qualifications and suitability for research and teaching,
- ability to teach classes,
- experience in analysis of post-translational protein modifications and protein-protein interactions,
- experience in bacteria cultivation, including anaerobic species,
- good knowledge of molecular genetics of microorganisms,
- experience in molecular and biochemical techniques (DNA/protein electrophoresis, Western blot, stationary and kinetic spectrophotometric and fluorimetric assays, PCR, cloning, FPLC chromatography, etc.),
- active participation in research grants.
